The Wood Family has produced Pure Maple Syrup for seven generations in Wisconsin on our family farm in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. As you can see in the following picture, the newest generation of syrup producers is collecting sap with his dad in Washington where Doug currently lives with his family. Doug has been tapping all of his neighbors trees in Spokane Washington for the past several years to produce a few gallons of syrup.
While a far cry from the setup that is located on the family farm in Wisconsin, Doug has set up a make shift sugar house in his back yard.
Doug also routinely travels back to the family farm to help our father, Scott with the production of the syrup in the springtime. The production of the syrup is only possible with the extremely hard work of numerous family, friends and neighbors that help with the preparation of the sugar bush for the sugaring season.
Last year, when Doug & Wyatt came back to Wisconsin to help Scott with the Syrup, Grandma Wood joined in a photo tapping a tree to show four generations of the Wood Family.
